Default Question about GSD coat

Hello,
I have 2 pups, each from different litters (same breeder). My Male seems to have typical GSD coat, a tad coarse and med length. My female on the other hand has very tight coat, close to the skin. She also has a line down her back of very wavy black fur. Both are sable.
Just wondering what her coat will look like when she is older. Will she retain the longer wave down her back?
I tried to enclose some pictures where you can see the difference. The female is 4 months (pink collar). She is very muscular. Much more so than my male, and he is 5 months. These are not super pictures, I just tried to grab the ones that hi-light their fur.

I think both of them will change, they are in between puppy fur and adult coat, my pup went through an awkward stage where her fur was very short, then about a month or 2 later it all came in.

I agree with the previous reply....my GSD bitch had the "wave" going on as a pup and as long since lost it.

My pup also had the wave in his fur from about four months to maybe eight months. Then his fur just sort of straightened out.

Interesting! Thank you for the replies! I guess they have a ways to go before I will know see their final look. Fun to watch them morph!
