Vacuum Cleaner

I have long hair and shed a lot and I now have a GSD puppy that I guess is about to burst out of her puppy coat and I am in despite need of a vacuum cleaner that can hold up to all the HAIR!!! I also have stairs so I would like it to easily be able to go up stairs I've been looking at reviews and comparing but of course none of the vacuums have flawless reviews so I am hesitant on which one to buy. ANYONE IN LOVE WITH THEIR VACUUM? :help:

I just bought the Shark professional last week and absolutely love it! There are a lot of threads on this, just type it in the search bar :) I would have bought the Dyson if it were a bit more in our budget..

My hoover wind tunnel does fine with the shepherd, sheltie, & three cats (short & long hair). If I burn it out, not that much to replace, but it does a good job. The ONLY thing is that with stairs, I wish I had sprung for a model with a lift-off cannister. I have a small hand-held that I use on the couch (covers), car, and stairs. Should have gotten the lift off model. I did have a canister vac and killed it from the hair (2 aussies & 5 cats at that time). Have had the Hoover bagged and my bagless windtunnel does so much better. I have a friend with kids who loves her Dyson -- but I in no way can afford the Dyson.

Dyson "Animal". Awesome, easy to empty and clean.

I have a kirby, that thing really sucks the fur and sand out of the rugs.

Shark rotator lift away, hands down. GREAT suction for carpet (After vacuuming with my old vacuum, THEN shampooing, then vacuuming with the shark, the canister was still FULL of fur and dirt).

It has a canister and not bags. The canister lifts away so is very easy and convenient to use with wand and attachments, and is very lite weight and easy to carry. My bedroom and office are the only carpeted rooms so I vacuum with the full vacuum, and then the hard floors in the rest of the house with the lift away canister and wand attachments. There is also a wheeled cart base that you can set the canister on so when you are using the wand it just rolls behind you, but I've never tried to use it because it's so easy to just carry it.

The filters are very easy to remove and clean. Overall it's a very small vacuum so easy to store.

It pivots and swivels just like the dyson ball but for a FRACTION of the cost. I bought mine at walmart for 200$ but I think I've seen it on amazon for 160$.

With 2 GSDs and 3 cats, the fur tumbleweeds are crazy in my house. So I vacuum almost every single day. But this vacuum is so lite weight and convenient it literally takes me 15 minutes to do the whole house, and I feel like it gets the job done very well. I recommend it to EVERYONE

I used to sell Kirbys, so I will always think they are the best, which they are. But I would want something bagless if I swept up a lot of hair. Kirby has an attachment for the hose called a Spin Brush. The airflow spins the brush. I have a cheap imitation that works well. It's great for furniture and steps.
