Default Any idea to adult coloring?

From what i understand mother was almost silver and black in appearance and father was a black sable. Any ideas as to what he might look like as he ages? He is almost 3 weeks.

????? Not really, right?

He's a sable. They'll change often until they get their adult coat.

Rescue Puppy Momma Reject:

New here and any advice would be spectacular.

I know socialization with similar aged pups would be good for this age. But no experience in this venue. Definitely a sable. Pretty dark for being a pup so it will be interesting to see if he gets darker OR lighter as he grows.

Because of age, no ability to protect him and not antibodies from a healthy mother's milk, the vet advised complete isolation from other animals, specifically canines.

I was wondering also any idea about coat length from puppyhood? or is that too a "patience is a virtue" kind of things? It would figure as i am about the least patient person I know.

Poor little guy. Do you have a better picture of him? You may need to wait a bit longer to figure out the coat length because all the puppies are floofy in my opinion but I think long haired GSD have crimpy fur instead of the fluffball look. Also looks like a sable but hard to tell from that picture. Good
luck, he's going to be a lot of work. Did the vet give you pointers on how to care for such a young pup? So precious.

That's great, I wish you great luck with this little one. From what I've seen with friends who've taken in GSDs this young, they grow up to be almost human LOL.
