Lasting Dog Toy

I have kongs and jollys and they last a long time, but anything else I let my dog play with doesn't last long. He likes rope toys, but they turn to threads pretty quick. I found some rope toys made out of fleece on amazon that he plays with them all the time and they last. It's been two moths since I bought them, I've only let him have two of the five and both of those are still in good shape. According to the write up, the maker of these toys has a GSD and started making these because all the other toys got tore up so quickly. I just thought I would pass this on in case anyone is interested.

Alright I placed an order. They don't look like they'll hold up but I'm taking your word for it

These are really easy to make....and cheap if you use fleece from thrift stores. They are a great way to make cheap toys for local shelters.

The hubby and I went to the specialty pet store yesterday and bought a new toy for our boy. It is apparently rated a 9 out of 10 on toughness level. It claimed to be made of 4 layers including hard plastic, 2 layers of "luggage grade" material, and soft fleece. It is such a hard toy I could probably club a human with it. It lasted less than 24 hours. I just confiscated it from poor Gunther because he ripped open an end and was eating the threads and stuffing. I have yet to find a truly indestructible toy for our almost 9 month old. My next step is the tractor supply store to get him some tires. He loves tires.

Our female Freya could destroy or pop any ball except the
Chuckit! Max Glow Ball

If she gets bored with it just stick a treat in it.

Ygor, my dog has one of those too and he likes it. Your link didn't work when I clicked on it, so I am reposting it. The link is for the 2-1/2" ball specifically, but you can select the 3" from the link as well.

Personally, I'd check Etsy Lots of sellers with fleece tugs, and they are really good quality ones, as well

I got a rabbit fur tug leash from this seller https://www.etsy.com/shop/TilliesTug...=sr_gallery_16

I've absolutely loved it! I am going to get a rabbit fur fleece tug soon

My dogs love these because they're springy. They last as long as I don't let Otto lay there and nosh on it for 20 minutes. Even then it can be tied back together. Fleece is recycled plastic so it's hard to chew through.

Very easy to make, get half a yard of fleece from the 'that's ugly' close out fabric table at walmart. Cut it up into 1" strips. Take 3 strands, tie a knot one end and give to a little girl to braid. Tie a knot at the other end and a knot in the middle. Dog toys are done.

I have duct tape and I am not afraid to use it.
