Does your dog like Kongs?

If not, what do you use instead to keep her occupied?

Thanks.

Mine is an extreme chewer and would probably chew even the heavy duty Kong into pieces and swallow it!

I give him raw, frozen marrow and knuckle bones, which he loves, and he always has an elk antler in his crate as well as one in my vehicle in case he gets bored waiting on me.

My boy didn't like the kong at first, but now takes his dry kibble with some string cheese pieces. I usually seal just the top with peanut butter. I fill hollow marrow bones with anything from canned dog food, applesauce, yogurt. I'd prolly do canned pumpkin too but I keep forgetting to buy it.
Now that he is interested in the kong more I might start adding wet food inside the kong and freezing it.

Balls and frisbees. Every now and then they will chase a kong if its the only thing around, and of course if I fill it with peanut butter.

Apsel couldn't care less about the Kong, but he will stay on it long enough for us to eat dinner in peace if I stuff it with kibble, treats, frozen banana slices, bits of apple, and cap it with a small layer of blueberry cream cheese. I have to freeze it though or he empties it before I can sit down to the table.

My girl loved her Kong until one day it took a bad bounce during a game of fetch. She was chasing it down and almost had it when it bounced up and smacked her in the mouth. She had zero interest in the Kong after that incident.

She never got tired of a marrow bone stuffed with peanut butter though. She also loved her nylabones.

By the way, according to my GSD tennis balls are inside toys only and not to be played with outside. Sticks are outside toys and cannot be played with inside. I taught her the second lesson as she was always trying to bring her sticks inside the house. But she made the first rule herself and would totally ignore a tennis ball if we tried taking it outside. She loved her rules and would strictly enforce them.

Mine plays with it for a while and ignores it once she's bored. I haven't tried putting food in it yet but am planning to fill it with treats and let her play with it soon

Lisl always has to have her Kong close. We lost it in the snow for three days a few weeks ago and she paced and was looking everywhere each time we went outside.

When she was a very young pup, she had no interest in it.

Jade seems to go through phases with her Kong. Some weeks she carries it with her days, other times we don't see it for a few weeks. Balls are her all time favorite and she is also very fond of antlers. But those are the same as the Kong, she will work on it for days and then we don't see it for weeks. I'm pretty sure she hides them.

Except for puppies, the kongs are too easy for my dogs to remove the treats, and without the treats too boring.

Instead I'm a fan of the Purple Squirrel Dudes and other 'toys' that make it a bit more challenging.
