Is there such a breed?

We just adopted a GSD from a German Shepard Rescue. We are told he is 2 years old and full grown. He only weights 30 lbs and stand about 18" to 20" on all fours. Is there such a breed, as a mini GSD?

He has a lot of German Shepherd features. Coat color and placement, tail, large paws, pointy / shape of ears and over all body shape. I think he has something else, in him, but I think majority is German Shepard. Here are some more pictures.
Don't know why they are sideways.

There is such a thing as pituitary dwarfism. But he would probably have other health problems if that was the case. I hope he is just a very beautiful mix!

I am taking Waco, to the Vet tomorrow, to have him checked out and give him all his shots, HW and flea / tick maintenance. Will update, after the appointment.
