Static-y couch

How do I fix my couch? Poor dogs are shocking each other and us!

I've tried rubbing it down with fabric softener sheets and that was a giant fail.

Would misting it with diluted fabric softener work?

get a humidifier. I run a console humidifier and have been going through almost 5 gallons of water every day. And my thermostat only shows the humidity level in the area at 20%...enough to keep from shocking everything I touch though! And the house feels warmer when it isn't so dry.

Humidifier. Or boil a few pots of water on the stove. Moisture in the air will completely dampen the static electricity.

If you can't afford to boil water, open the windows for couple hours after it rains or snows. Just get some moisture inside.

I bought a humidifier, and have it running on the upstairs landing. It's still not working!

The landing is open, you can see the humidifier and the moisture has a clear path down. .. Does it need to be downstairs?

It's just to dry in this area right now. There is static on everything. Even the dog beds. I use the static sheets in the dryer and the clothes are still coming out with static. We need some moisture in the air.

I think a small humidifier would only work in a smallish bedroom. I don't think it can humidify an entire house. I could be wrong though. We only used one once and it just made the house colder. I guess we needed one with a heater in it.

Put the humidifier right next to the couch :)
