Very Special Request

Please pray or meditate or whatever you choose to do to appeal to a higher power for my friend. Yesterday I posted that I was going to have to put her second shepherd down today. He had lymphoma and only a few weeks to live. It was the the second of her precious shepherds that we have had to release in just barely over 2 months. In the meantime she adopted a beautiful, fearful and shy new lady from a rescue group in Charlotte, NC. Her beautiful girl, Leiska, went missing today WHILE she was at the shelter having her Schroeder put to sleep. Her son accidentally left the door open while packing his car and she ran out. We are doing everything humanly possible to find her, but in the meantime a little extra karma or prayer would be so appreciated. No human being should have to lose three GSDs in less that 2 months. I actually don't know how much she can stand.

Kind thoughts please.

I'll make a wish on my wishing jar. It has special powers.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. - Unknown

Thank you all..still no word. At least she is microchipped, has rabies and ID tags and probably would not go to a stranger, therefore we hope she won't be stolen or taken into someone else's home. She ahs called every shelter nearby, posted on FB, and called the vet's offices. I am just telling her to keep the faith.

Well wishes sent!

Sounds like she is on top of everything, but has she posted flyers in the area? In addition to the steps taken that you mentioned, I do still think that posting printed flyers in the immediate neighborhood where the dog disappeared from is very helpful... neighbor mailboxes/stoops/doorways, post offices, nearby dog-friendly walking zones or parks as well as other areas where there is a lot of dog or pedestrian traffic.
