My wife kinda tried to talk me out of our pup Ben, but did give in. Now Ben is 6 months old, and doing very well. He is going to school and learning every day. She has become very attached to him, and NOW want's another from the same parents. The breeder is small & only has one or two litters per year. So here we go. Should have another sometime in October. ben will be over 1 year old by then, so I am hoping it will work out well.
I knew she'd come around, but wasn't thinking she'd come around that much. |

As long as your dog is where it needs to be in training(and training remains ongoing) then you should be fine. Mine is going to be two and I'm hoping to get another by the end of the year. They are quite addicting, aren't they?

If you already have 2 dogs, I'd personally wait for the next litter after that before adding to your pack. At 2 Ben is going to be more mature and hopefully better trained than he will be at one.
What breed and how old is your other dog? |

I was originally going to say that they might look odd together, but after I seen the picture, I've decided that they go well together

I can see a GSD (normal drive) and a standard going together very well personality wise! I was raised with a standard, and her personality would have matched well. You should probably get a female GSD pup.

I love Standards, and think they go well with GSD's! Glad your wife came around! Yay for you, how exciting!
Like, Jag suggested, I'd maybe go with a female pup this time.
