i have a soon to be 6 month old male GSD. we got him at 4 mths. I never thought I could be connected to a dog like I was to my old girl Robbie ( Roberta). She was my heart dog & bonded to me like I can't describe. She seemed to know my thoughts, and always just knew how to act & what to do. Well young Ben is already doing the same. I love this dog with all my heart. He will drop his elk antler to follow me & be with me. He is already acting like my old girl that i think of every day after 4 years. I am one lucky son of a gun. And I know it. He has picked up where she left off, and I really believe she has something to do with it.

That makes me feel good! I am SO worried about when my heart dog (rat terrier) passes, I just KNOW I will never love again! There's no way I could. But to hear that you did assures me I will too.

Thanks for the words. I had her for 14 wonderful years. I miss her every day. some people think it's wierd to feel for a dog like that. But, oh well...it is what it is. i waited til it felt right for another for me.
