Default Deep snow

I just gave my 7 1/2 Mo old GSD another bath, she was getting pretty ripe. A bath has been lasting for only a little over a week lately. I think I've figured out why. She likes to do her business in a few small areas of the yard and we have very deep snow here, so I think she must be walking through some of her pee sometimes. Just have to put her on a leash & wait her out I guess.

Come on spring! Got another 8" today & it's still coming down.

When it stops, you may want to shovel or snow plow a potty area for her. Have snow and ice, and tonight it will be below zero.

Not sure what a waterless shampoo is, I'll have to check that out. I have a large area of my yard cleaned out via snow blower but she usually holds it until she gets to her favorite potty areas. She s eems to like going in deep snow.
I took her out on a leash and waited her out tonight (took her 1/2 Hr to finally do it) but she finally peed in the road. She's great about staying in the yard, so I usually let her run but I think maybe a leash is called for, for a while.

yes I agree - keep her on the leash and she should learn to go in different areas -it will help for when you travel, move, or if for some reason her own potty area is not available. It will take work now but will pay off in the future. I know a GSD who will only go in her certain spot in her yard -this is really nervewracking for her owners because they often take her into Pierre when they come into town to shop or visit from out in the country where they live (about a 30 mile drive) and the dog will not potty elsewhere.
