Actually, the Natural Balance Sausage works perfect for that. I generally use Beef. It has the perfect consistence for it and a very strong smell and taste.

Thank you again. I will be heading to Petsmart tomorrow to see if they have it!

If you have access to bil-jac frozen, you can form a 'tube' of it for using as a lure, have the dog push into it. Most people that use the tube method wear a glove so they don't get chewed up(especially for a young dog w/ food drive!).

Bil-jac isn't the healthiest....though one of the bags I had stated green tripe as the first ingredient! My dogs love it, and I use it only for training and tracking. I can't buy it in MI, but it is available in OH. I use to use the Natural balance but Karlo went off it(overuse?) and the NB is crumbly now and then, depending on the protein.

Thanks! I will have to use a glove, too. He bit and broke skin the other day when I was using a piece of turkey.

Mrs.K, I love, love, LOVE watching you training/working your dogs. When I am working Finn, the picture I have in my mind of what I want is often what I have seen in your videos.

I can't see it in the video, what sort of collar are you using on her?

Do you just pick random places (like the car park) for your training?

She's wearing the same Collar as Nala, only in grey but it's always on the dead bolt. I never have it on choke.

I generally chose random places. Dog Park, Baseball Parks, Car Lots, PX Parking lot.

However, most of the time I start out in places that are not too distracting and then move onto random places.

Wow, thank you. We are not that good, there are plenty people on here who are far better than us, I just like to share the progress we've been doing from our first steps in competition/schutzhund obedience, because that kind of obedience can't be compared to normal basic pet obedience.
