Hi everyone,
I got my oldest GSD from a local rescue about 22 months ago, when she was 15 months old (we think). I named her Ilse ![]() Ilse is a smooth coat, black & red, standard sized female GSD. She has gold colored eyes and a gaze that will stop you in your tracks. I have no papers for her and know nothing of her origins, although I am told often that she looks like she has some good German working lines in her background. I would like to do a PAL registration for her with the AKC, and also double register her with the UKC. I'd like to do tracking, rally, possibly obedience, and maybe even some UKC conformation with her. As I said, her name is Ilse, but I'd like something a little fancier for her registered name But I am at a total loss.Any suggestions or ideas? |

What's the name of the rescue? Could that be included? For example my mutt is called "Coke" but when he earned his CGC (probably the *only* thing he'll ever earn!) I listed him as "VPC's Coca-Cola" because he came from a rescue called Vicky's Pet Connection.

You can add a location name, like Ilse of Blue Ridge, or Blue Ridge's Ilse...
Or stick a version of your name to it.... I like having 2 names for the call name cause it stands out if someone is calling for us. For instance Biretta sounds like Greta.....but if I hear Biretta Lee I know they are looking for us. :-)

Ilse von Richthoven maybe?
Ilse was the sister of Baron Manfred von Richthoven. The family grave is near Wiesbaden where I lived for two years.

ooo...great ideas!
Well, she came from Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue. WTR doesn't flow quite as smoothly at other letters would. It's that pesky W that messes it up LOL. I'd like something German, I think... I like the idea of it being something regal, or something to suggest she is the alpha in my little pack of two. Ilse von Richthoven is nice, that will definitely go on my short list. |
