I noticed when I took my GSD to the dog park that he seemed much shorter in length than the other GSD's there and just a lot smaller in general. His measurements are at the shoulder 27in, at the back hip 25in, and he weighs 80lbs. He is about a year and a half old, I don't care about having the biggest dog I just thought that he looked significantly smaller than the other dogs so I'm just curious.

I'm with my 2nd GSD so I'm not an expert. I'd say probably not much bigger. He sounds about right to me. Many GSD's were bred for special traits like size & hair length, but (I'm gonna get some flack for this) I think when shepherds are bred for special traits like that, somethings gained but somethings probably lost also. That could be a thread on it's own!
