My dog Coda is in need of a friend. I am looking for a female. I am new to this site so please excuse me if it takes longer to get back to you. We live in the bay area. Its just her and I so when I am at work she has inside outside privileges, but I feel she needs some sort of companion.
If anyone knows how to find a grown female that is trained. Please let me know.

You should think bout getting a second dog. There really is very little extra work involved.

I would recommend a male over a female. Two females can work, but it depends on their personalities. Same-sex aggression is a big concern, and isn't always evident at first. Some females will wake up one day from a nap and decide they hate each other. And if you aren't home to actively supervise I just wouldn't think it a good idea.
