I couldnt find a forum that matched this question. I am a new to this site & also a new German Shepherd owner of a puppy. I did foster a GSD that was about a year she has been starved & abused, so I worked with her confidence & turned into an amazing dog! After that I simply fell in love with the breed, but I have never owned one that is a puppy. My pup is 9 weeks old (she'll be 10 weeks this Friday) & she weighs about 14 pounds. She is gaining about 3-4 pounds every couple days so she is growing fast! I do not overfeed her. I measuered her in height and from the top of her back to the ground was 13 inches but I can see she is taller than when I last measured her which was a couple days. I'd estimate her being 15 inches from her back to the ground. Is she big for her age? Thanks

Lisl is 16 pounds at 9 weeks and she seems proportional to her height. I tried to measure her at the withers but she won't stand still enough yet for me to measure her and I have no one to help me hold her.
I'm going to tack a seamstress tape to the wall and walk her in front of it in a day or three.
