So is a leather blend is a bad idea?

throw some sheets or blankets over the funiture. lift
the pillows and arch them against the back of the sofa.
rehome the sofa.

I found out from an employee at the furniture store that the couch I want to buy is not surface leather. It's called durablend leather and the dura stands for durable. So hopefully it will hold up well.

If you are not into the sofa for a huge amount of money, it should be fine. Honestly, I think the fact that we got 13 years out of our set WITH two big dogs and many moves is sufficient for what we paid. I just want our set to last until we leave this house...the furniture will not leave with us.
