Yes! I grew up LABS LABS LABS....never thought I'd own anything else. DH was insistent on a GSD and I finally relented (never had good experiences with them prior)...I'm definitely a convert!

I'm not, but my mom and bf are.
Mom had her bottom lip ripped off by a gsd when she was 14, so was terrified of them. It took her until I got Kodak to be OK with them (she never got used to Cheeko or Kiba). Matt was a bulldog person, and thought shepherds were mean. He now loves them (:

I've always loved the breed. My step-dad had two when I was growing up and my DH had one when he was a child. So it just was a natural decision to go for the breed we both loved when we got our first puppy Stomper. When Clover a Golden/BC x was our only dog, something was "missing" when I didn't have a GSD in the house.

 Kind of..my first dog 35 years ago was a GSD mix, but always had Labs when raising my kids and loved them..We've had Tessa for 17 months and can't imagine life without her. We'll probably get another one in a couple years...

Never owned a dog. Got a GSD. I'll never own anything else ever again. My mom, on the other hand..is scared of dogs, especially the big ones. She now loves Gus to death and let's him hang out in her house when I'm not even there! She also takes him for walks and loves when he does tricks. lol

I will never have another dog breed other than a GSD. I have seen people afraid of them, because of what they see on tv. Law enforcement etc..
