I love the way Gus pretends to be king of the house sometimes. For example, if I'm busy doing something in another room I'll go into the bedroom and he will be laying in the bed on my side oh so comfortably, but when he hears my feet hit the carpet he gets a happy expression and jumps off.
Also, how he's always watching me. Whether it be walking into a room to check or popping an eye open from a nap to check out how I am when he hears me move. He just has a wonderful personality.
I love how he plays by himself with his bone when he's bored. He picks it up, throws in the air, and chases it. Then runs around the house with it.
I love how happy he gets when hubby or I come home. He screams and jumps and runs and comes back. And of course grabs his bone.
I love how he loves to be chased in the backyard. He'll grab a rock when I'm looking, stares at me and waits for me to say "I'm gonna get You!" Then runs and runs around the yard looking at me.
I love how he understands so many words and phrases and reacts to each: "go for a walk?" "Go to the park?" "Go outside?" " Toma aguita" means drink water, "ambrosia?" My way of saying "hungry?"
I love how he tilts his head, trying so hard to understand what I'm saying.
i love the way wolfy will follow me from room to room to room. he's sooo close behind that if i slow down the slightest bit his face slams right into my butt hahahaha. i love that if he's hanging with his dad in another room, he will periodically come and check on me to make. i love that look he gets when he gets caught doing something he shouldn't be-head down, ears back, HUGE puppy eyes staring up at me-totally melts my heart haha he knows how to work it.
We have raised feeders, if one bowl was full and the other had just a little in it, Cody would eat all the food in the one with less until each and every piece was gone, even though the other bowl was full! If outside I'd knock on door and he'd always scratch back! At nite he'd make his nest, then I would sigh and he'd always return my sigh! I sure miss him. Clipper always has a toy! He will sleep with a toy in his mouth! He always has toys covering the food bowls, he will sometimes even drop them in water bowls! He is taller than Cody was and would swing his rump around and knock over things, loved to run!
My puppy is obsessed with lemons. He got one by accident a while ago now we give them to him regularly. He growls at them, pounces, throws them around, jumps about batting them on the floor, eventually when he has decided it is dead he carries them in his mouth to a corner and slumps down, then takes a bite, freaks out at the sour taste and starts fighting the lemon all over, yelping and jumping about trying to kill it.
Whenever I turn my computer off, Shasta heads straight to the bathroom and waits for me to brush my teeth before bed. Her head tilt and even though I try not to encourage it, when she back talks lol. Also love the way she practically lays on top of me when its bedtime but huffs at me when I put my arm over her lol
I love how Gunner is so gentle with one of his stuffing free "animals". We call her "dolly". He got this toy for Christmas last year and I took out the stuffing out since he'll just de-stuff it anyway.
We named her Dolly as a joke. A male dog with a "dolly".
He picks her up, whines, then jumps on the couch, puts her down and lays with her, as if he's protecting her.
Before bed we tell him "go find Dolly" and he looks for her, finds her and lays down with her. It's so darn cute.
That's Dolly under his right arm:
I love how excited he gets when my husband gets home from work.
He stands at the front door waiting for him. The door is open so he can see him. The minute he lays eyes on him, his tails starts wagging and hits the railing for the stairs. All I hear is "bam bam bam" from the tail hitting. As he gets to the door, Gunner bows to him.
As soon as he's in the door, he follows my husband to the kitchen for his hug. He jumps on the counter, leans into my husband and gets his hug. Then he gets a treat.
Never fails to put a smile on my face.
I love how I always have a bodyguard when I'm in the bathroom.
He also makes an excellent foot rest.
I love how when I grab my jacket to take him out, he gets so excited that he bites at it as I'm trying to put it on.
I love how he sits on the floor and just stares at me. I would love to know what he's thinking.
I love how when I start any sentence with "do you wanna?", his head tilts, his ears perk and he jumps up as if to say "heck yeah".
I love how he stalks my husband when he's eating mac n cheese that I get from the store. He knows he'll get a forkful when it gets to the bottom.
When we're out in the yard and he's chasing balls, I love when he stands there, head low......waiting.
He stares at me, and I at him. Neither of us moving. I move my foot and he's OFF!!! Cracks me up.
There are so many things I love about him, but the goofball in him is my favorite.
When Hector knows I'm getting ready to take him somewhere (I'm not always sure how he knows, but he can always tell when he gets to go with me), he stands by the door and leaps straight up and down--all four feet in the air! He can jump about as high as the top of the door, which always impresses me.
Haha this is great! They are such a goofy breed. Many were listed but a few if mine are.
I love how right when my husband walks out of the room in the mornings, Dixie instantly sits by the bed and looks at me ears pricked waiting for me to say ok. She jumps up and licks my face so happily, like she hasn't seen me in forever
I love how when I pretend to be sleeping she lays right beside me and will put her nose right on my cheek and breathe really hard. And if that don't work, she grabs my hand by my sleeve and picks it up and moves it around lol I can never be "sleeping" after that.
I love how she is always just so happy, and goofy
I love how she always has to walk me to the car. My husband can be calling her to let her in, and if I'm not there she will just come find me just to walk me to the car..
Rocky will jump and plant a wet one on my right cheek, then he does the same thing to my left cheek. He does this when I get home from work and let him out.
I love working with Finn. I've never bonded with a dog like this before.
I love when he goes out to the bathroom first thing in the morning and he hops through the yard like a rabbit.
I love when he knows I'm having a very bad day and he refuses to leave my side.
I love how he has stood his ground when our house has been broken into, yet opening a garbage bag can startle him if I'm not careful.
I love how he potty-trained himself within a week of coming home, yet we've only just started to master the thirty second stay after four years.
I love when he crawls up on my lap when I'm laying down and he lays ontop of me, his nose under my chin.
I love it when he takes his "wubbie" and rolls all over it, then takes it to bed with him. No wubbie, no rest for Mum and Dad.
I love how he just broadcasts his emotions through looks. He can just look at me and I know exactly what he's thinking. I also think he can tell what's on my mind.
Ive thought about this thread since I read the title earlier. What I love is:
When you sit on the floor w/ Lucky and you scratch his chest he covers his face w/ his paws and stretches at the same time. I love how after ignoring me when I dont play w/ him enough and I put my boots on to go out side I get a sideways glance and he goes out into the yard and then I pick up the ball and he's back to happy dog. I love it when he stretches out on the couch next to me. I love how he will do anything to get the milk in the bottom of my bowl of cereal. When I had an bad insulin reaction and ended up passed out on the floor and he just sat by me and when I came to he was there on my feet.
I love that Fiona will try to bury her bones in my couch or recliner. She gets annoyed, because I keep finding them. So she will get frustrated and eat the bone. I love that she literally digs with her front feet in water. I love that she enjoys playing in mud or water, but is a baby when it comes to a bath. I love that she tries to attack the water from the hose, but cries when I spray her with the hose.
I love that when I pet Pup, she sticks out her tongue a tiny little bit. A little like this, but WAYYY cuter.
