Ok so after looking at Kono's registration papers for AKC, ACA and, APA (Yeah three different clubs I dont know if thats good or bad
)I noticed that Kono came from Lambriar and so I looked it up and at first I saw comments that they were a puppy mill so I got worried but then I read more and I guess they are the middle man for puppy mills... Is that always true? or could there be a chance that she was from a actual breeder not a puppy mill? (I did get her from a pet store but I remember they had a sign that they dont affiliate with puppy mills HAHA!) Since she doesnt have any problems with her. I have no clue and I want to figure this out. I looked up her parents and they were registered in AKC (Only because I saw this one post on here about fake registration) So any Information would help. I want to know anything about them Thanks!

If you got her from a pet store than odd are excellent that she came from a puppy mill. No reputable or decent breeder would sell the pups in a per shop.

Lambriar is not a mill, it is a broker. It buys puppies from many different mills and then resells them to the pet stores. They are a wholesaler.
No ethical breeder will allow their puppies sold through a pet store. There are instances where stores buy their stock directly from a (non-ethical) breeder, but when a broker is involved it's pretty much a dead give away that they dog was born in a commercial kennel. You can use her AKC registration to track down her breeder then see if you can get the breeder's inspection reports from the USDA or the state department of agriculture. Lambriars will be available through the USDA. You will most likely have to file through FOIA. I remember helping the owner of nopuppymills.com enter info in her database from them and they came to her at the speed of bureaucracy. |
