I love this answer! ^

No matter the color I do love each of mine as much as the last or next. That said I have to admit I do prefer any of the darker colors, not black, but darker than average. Especially a darker face.

We have a saying in horses:

There is no bad color for a good horse.

I think that could be carried over to the dog world as well.

I prefer a darker dog, black/tan with extended saddle and a dark face... or a bicolor. Dark sables are also a color I enjoy. I have to say my least favorite is a dog with little black on it, including a light face. Black/red is my least favorite color which makes it kinda hard when researching getting a GSD. Most of the ones I see around my area (Texas) seem to be black/red or sables (I don't really care for light sable).

First off I want to say that I think that they are all beautiful. But if I had to state MY favorite or preference I would have to say bicolor or dark sable.

With the white markings would she be considered a "panda"?

That's mostly what we have here as well. And the darker GSD's I've seen have mostly been the longer, plush coats, which I don't prefer either.

So, they must have white markings on their face to be considered a panda shepherd?
And a dog with other white markings would just be considered mismarked?
