My bed - sheets, etc that aren't huge hair magnets
I rescued an Australian/English Shepherd mix as a playmate for my GSD. They get along great and definitely don't regret it. However, it's now time to ask about bedding that is more dog friendly. I tried googling but didn't find squat. Maybe it was my search, but figured that someone, surely, has searched this successfully and may be able to make my life easier. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hmm satin sheets maybe the hair shouldn't stick to them as much??

Maybe 2 designated dog beds in you bedroom?

sometimes we'll use a sheet to cover the bed so
is can collect the hair. we vacuum the bed, sofa,
chairs, etc. good luck with new dog.

I have never found such a thing so I would be interested to see what other people would say. We're in the process of getting a GS, but I can say that one of our current dogs is the most hairy dog I've ever known. The best thing we've found so far is to get a duvet cover that can be washed weekly, and to wash the sheets as much as possible. We just try to keep the dogs on the duvet and not the actual sheets.

When ours does sleep on the bed and not in his crate he knows that the foot of the bed is where he sleeps and he is not allowed up top where the sheets and pillows are exposed. He doesn't sleep on the bed often (maybe once a week) so I just go over it with a lint roller every now and then.

As you can see in the picture I took yesterday morning, he is slowly trying to sneak his way up to me :) It was dark in the room and I could barely see him, hence the reason for the bright flash.

I have a cotton velvet duvet cover that barely holds any fur, it's great. The fleece sheets are the exact opposite - total fur magnets. I also have a velour blanket that's not too bad, but the velvet is the way to go. This fabric, in a polyester, is what's on our couch and it works well there too.
