Do you ignore PM's and why?

Just curious on the general response. I've sent pm's, mostly questions, but sometimes just comments. Most of the time I've gotten a response, but some apparently just get ignored. Usually these are ones I'm very interested in, because they are questions related to health, behavior or training.

I don't ignore pm's unless they are very rude or nasty. (And I'm not sure if I've really ever gotten any rude or nasty ones here, heh). I've sent them to Admins and moderators (some ignored, some not) and just regular forum member (again, some ignored some not). I've always responded to the ones sent me, at least the ones I see anyhow. I've made some very "real" friends on here, and received some excellent advice.

What do you do? Do you ignore people you don't "know"? Why? I'm curious.

no I don't ignore pm's.. I will always try to answer any pm I get whether it's rude or not

I always read mine, BUT if I had someone using them just to annoy me I'd put them specifically on ignore so I could still get everyone else's.

Hmm. I guess I've never sent a pm with the intent of irritating someone, so I didn't even think about using them in that regard. I guess I'm thinking more of 'normal' pm's.

I get almost no PMs so it's hard to ignore something you don't get. :P

I usually reply to mine, unless I receive a simple one-line comment like "I agree", or "thanks". My computer is buggy and slow, and the PM process can be cumbersome sometimes... so before I send a reply, I need to have something meaningful to say. I probably need to switch back to Firefox... but that's neither here nor there.

Sometimes I read a PM, and then get distracted with work or whatever, and forget to reply.

I always answer them unless they are rude and looking for a fight.....and have only had one or two of those in the 9?10? years I have been on the board...

Not just on this forum, but I usually respond. Sometimes though I'll read one, go to think about it or not have time to answer right then, then forget about it and accidentally wind up ignoring it.

I also don't always notice them right away.

So in other words, I try not to but I'm sure some people have thought I was ignoring them.
