Adult dog food..help.

My vet doesn't promote kibble at all ... he prefers raw ... here's why:

If our cats (dogs) keeled over and died after they ate a bowl of kibble or a single can of commercial food -- as unfortunately many did in the massive worldwide 2007 pet food recall, and there have been dozens of recalls before and since then -- there would be no doubt about its danger. However, since it takes years to develop cancer and other degenerative diseases, most allopathic veterinarians never make the connection between diet and chronic disease. Put bluntly, commercial pet foods may marginally sustain life, but they don't promote health.

What would I feed my dog if I went to raw food? And is it outrageously expensive?

Thanks for all the inputs guys, I'll do some research and check out all of your suggestions.
And I know it won't cost 200 dollars I was exaggerating..lol.

I have never seen that site before..I am please that through the help of this board both of my dogs are eating an above average kibble..Thanks for the info

You're welcome! I'm so not a fan of commercial food (for me or my pets LOL) but if you're going to feed kibble, at least feed the best you can!

OP - just go the raw food section of the forums and you'll see loads of info ... Lauri and the gang has some great info, and so does carmspack!
