Very Disturbing Indiana Craigslist Ad...

I wasn't sure if this could be posted on the urgent rescue sub-forum or not so I posted here, but: German Shepherd

This was very recently posted on our local craigslist, I'm not sure what the deal is yet, but the guy says he's going to put his dog down in the morning if no one comes to get him before tomorrow

I'm going to e-mail him myself to figure out what's up and why he would be re-homing the dog, I'll update you all if I hear anything back.

wow....I hope you can help, if he bit/attacked unprovoked are they are passing on a liability?
I didn't see any contact info on that ad? Wonder if it is a hoax. Please update if you can!

I have a nice German shepherd for re homing. He is a personal protection dog and IPO champion. he will be put down in the morning if no one comes to get him. he is free

Hmm...I just checked the ad again and this time the craigslist e-mail address isn't there...

A lot of people will post the threat of putting their animal down if you don't come and get them. As someone who's involved in rescue,I hear this threat a lot.

Wow...why are people so heartless when it comes to animals? Like they can't wait and find the guy a good home, or couldn't make more effort prior to the threat of the pound. Makes me so mad. Hope you can help and get he guy to safety!

That's really horrible. My wife and I are pretty heavily involved in Collie rescue (transport and fostering) and I haven't really come across that there thankfully.

Hopefully he'll post some contact info.

were you able to e-mail the ad poster? I did alert the CL thing that there was no contact info....

Unfortunately no, I went to e-mail and realized that the address was missing :/

Disgusting and disturbing. And once again proving that there are people out there that should never, ever be allowed the privilege of owning a dog.

If you have contacts with local clubs/breeders, maybe alert them to this ad? Or...they may already be aware
