my friend Linda Shaw is clearing out the majority of her archival material . I added a great deal of material to my collection and am storing almost just as much for her .
What is available is years and years worth of The GSDC of America's monthly GSD Review going back to the early 1970's - and the anniversary special editions. This pretty well documents the development of the GSD in USA from the earliest imports right through the different fads and phases . This collection is of no use to me as I already have virtually everything in this collection already. As it is I have so much "stuff" I could build a wing on to my house to have things on display or shelved instead of sitting in boxes . She is in a hurry to dispose of it -- does not have time to ship things -- so two options -- some Ontarian can go and PICK UP , (for self or resale - does not matter ) or , I pick up and store temporarily and I ship out !! Another option, instead of driving and shipping ... if someone wants all the boxes (within canada of course) is to send it by bus.
i once shipped 6 4x4 boxes of stuff back to my previous roommate and it only cost me about $25 / box just an idea

I will ship it to any interested party the most economical way - I am familiar with using Greyhound Parcel service.
These magazines have some good articles , and are loaded with pictures of the breed - one or two per page !! If you are a fancier of the "American" show line dogs this would be outstanding for pedigrees and pictures which are not to be found on the pedigree data base, plus interviews with judges and breeders . |
