Missing dogs in my area are on the rise. Almost all pure breed or resembled pure breed. If you live in the Duluth/Superior area please keep your dogs onleash and supervised even in fenced yards. Some dogs have gone missing from locked gate yards. The lock was cut on the gates.
In addition those who may live in the Billings park area of Superior, WI be warned of hotdogs filled with rat poison being thrown into yards and left along walking trails. This is not the first time activity has happened like this in this area. It's horrible that these things happen but if everyone works together we can all do our best to keep our furry children safe. |

A little further south (Price Co.) and haven't had any issues, but thanks for the warning...sometimes these idiotic occurrences spread to surrounding areas. Hopefully they catch these perps.

I am afraid that untill they get stricter laws and enforce them on people who are abusing or killing animals it is going to continue.

I hate that it's happening but most I can do is call the cops when I see something and also warn people around me. Found a couple of hotdogs with holes in them on the Billings Park Trail today. Called the police and they came and removed them. So glad I didn't have my dogs off leash on the trail this time. Spirit is great with drop and Monty (chihuahua) hates hot dogs but I still wouldn't have wanted to take a chance. Not everyone is happy about dogs on the trails. I think it's some jerkoffs way of protesting. As for the stolen dogs... It could be so many different things.
My prayers and wishes go out to everyone who has lost pets in this area. |

I don't live in the area, but hope everything returns back to normal soon. We had a similar situation about 4 years ago,but the group of people were caught when they got greedy and broke into an animal shelter. Unfortunately a lot of people didn't get their dogs back.
