Buddy used to try to get into the pool with us and we put a baby pool next to our pool, talk to him while he's splashing in his. I know Rey's going to be a problem with the pool already. Mine is above ground and she can stand up on one side of it and finds it fascinating. When the cover is off and we're in there, I can foresee her leaping in. I'm going to put a rail around the pool itself and a gate when the deck goes up. If your dogs do happen to get in the pool and rip the liner with a toenail, putting an underwater patch on is a pain, but can be done by yourself.

Each dog if different re. whether or not they like swimming. I wish my Gertie liked to swim. She loves water though & goes crazy playing with it, just not in it. Years ago I had a GS/Lab mix that you couldn't keep out of the water. She was such fun floating on the lake or going tubing down the river.
