Kaiya won the contest....thank you!!!

I want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of you on this site who voted for Kaiya in the 435 South Magazine "Cutest Pet Contest" in Kansas City!

SO many of you - along with my friends - went to bat in a HUGE way yesterday and she got over 150 votes to squeak by the 2nd place dog!! She ended up with 773 votes and the 2nd place dog ended up with 748!

Kaiya will get a 'swanky' grooming session before her photo shoot which will put her on the cover of a magazine that will be seen by thousands of people! Most importantly - a story will be done about her and I intend to use that opportunity to tell everyone how she came into our lives. Within that story my main goal is to bring TONS of recognition to my amazing vet AND bring tons of awareness to how both of my GSD's passed away within 2 months of each other in April and June. Maybe - just maybe - someone will read our very sad story and remember the symptoms of IMHA and bloat and get their dogs to the vet if they show the same signs.

Thanks again everyone - and I'll be sure to share - it comes out on March 1st!

congrats!!!! Very glad I was able to sneak a vote in there! Sounds like a very awesome plan getting awareness out there! make sure to post at least pictures from the mag!!! how exciting!!
