OH NO!! Kaiya Just Got Bumped Out Of 1st Place and TODAY Is Last Day Of Voting!!!!!!

As many of you know - I posted on here a couple of weeks ago that I entered my blue GSD pup, Kaiya into a "Cutest Pet Contest" 2 weeks ago here in Kansas City. (OK GSD Members - Can You Help My Blue GSD Kaiya Win A Magazine Cover???)

She came into our lives because we unexpectedly lost BOTH of our German Shepherds in 2011....our female in April....and then our male in June just TWO DAYS after we brought 8-week old, Kaiya home.

Kaiya has been in 1st place over 168 dogs almost the entire time. However, her 'contender's' owners have obviously strategized because today is the last day of voting and when I woke up this morning - he is now in 1st place by 150 votes!!!

Kaiya does NOT win any prizes but she DOES win the cover of this magazine that reaches thousands of people in the KC area! I also found out that a story will be done on her. I want to use that opportunity to sing the praises of my AMAZING vet who not only went above and beyond the call of duty with Titan and Nikka - but made GENEROUS donations to the K-State College of Veterinary Medicine in both of their names after they passed. I also want to tell the warning signs of bloat (what Titan died from) and of IMHA (what Nikka died from) in this story so people know if they see signs like this to get their dogs to the vet ASAP!!
