Default Malti Poo in heat, our GSD is going CRAZY!!!

So our Malti Poo is in heat... she's getting spayed on Feb 3rd. But our GSD is going crazy! He cries all night and he barks... He's getting neutered in two months once he turns a year old.
Is there something I can do for now to calm him down at least until Feb 3rd when she gets spayed? I tried keeping them in separate rooms but he goes crazy trying to get to her (he even tries opening doors to get to her)!

You could board him.

I thought about that even though I will miss him but that might be the only solution... I heard rubbing vaseline on her vulva and taking him for a LONNNNGGGGG walk might calm the situation down as well. I might try this first and if this doesn't work then I will have to board him :-/

LOL no that won't work.
There's more about her than her vulva that he can smell!

Do you have a trusted friend or family member that can take him? At least until she is out of her fertile days?

How old is this boy? Is he crated? Is the other dog crated?

I have family members that I trust but cannot take care of him right now :-/ He is not crated but she is. Yesterday I took him out for a LONG walk and it seemed to have calmed him down a bit. He turns 11 months today.

I wanted to Spay her asap but vet told us it was more of a risk to spay while she is in heat because certain body parts are swollen during this cycle.

I honestly did not know how bad it was to have a female in heat around. Next time for sure I will spay a female dog beforehand!
