Default Amaretto needs a call name!

Hi all,

Amaretto has been home for almost a month now, and I'm in need of some inspiration for a call name that somehow relates to A, Amaretto, or is just plain cool. I've been calling her puppup/puppy/pupper. But now that we've started puppy classes, as the most elegant dog in the class, we need a more dignified call name than pupper.

Some themes I like are: Harry Potter, other great literature, Gods and Goddesses, and Vikings!

Of them names I thought of, the ones that don't fit are:
Aine (prononuced Onya)
Aiko

I think she went by the name Mara at Robin's house. I kind of like Mara...but she doesn't look like a Mara to me. She is full of evil.

So...suggestions please!

Edit to say, I actually LOVE the name Amaretto. But with the attentions span of a flea right now, we can't use it on her yet.

Sorry I haven't made it to the market yet, btw. I keep meaning to go and meet you, but have always had family commitments over the weekends this holiday. I'm back in school now, but still plan to go some time soon!

I swear naming dogs is harder than naming kids. I'd probably call her Rett, but I have no imagination when it comes to naming dogs.

I like Ama as a name . I would pronounce it Ah ma .
Would love to meet you at market, won't be there this Saturday, will be speaking somewhere instead . Give me the headsup and I'll bring a little sampler for Amaretto.

It'll be another while yet. I just got back to Kingston for school. Will give you a heads up when I do!

Btw, ah ma means dad in machurian (learned from a historical drama I used to watch).

It's okay. At least you arnt calling your dogs puppy 1 month after they come home. Talk about higher education killing my imagination...
