Default Is This Too Many Stairs?

I want to start doing the stairs in my apartment building which consists of 22 flights. Would this be alright for Jazz to do as well? He's 2.5 years old and has a lot of energy. I figured if it won't hurt him, I'd allow him to do them with me.

I think Jazz will do fine. If you want you can start with like 10 flights and build up.

Now that Cody is full grown, I figure if I can do it he can.

Well I know he can do 11 flights without any issue because the power was out in our building for 2 days a couple of months ago so there was a lot of stair climbing going on during that time. He was a superstar. I just wasn't sure if doing 22 flights a few times a week might cause future joint issues.

How often do you do the stairs with Cody?

I never do stairs with him, but have but him throught the ringer otherwise lol.

as soon as he was 18 months and I know his bones were done I kicked up the exercise and stopped worrying so much. I did increase exercise levels gradually.

the closest thing to stairs would be hiking. I did a 22 mile hike over the course of 3 days with him. Lots of elevation change both up and down, and he had a backpack on weighing about 10-12 pounds. he handled it all like a champ. my buddies i backpacked with were very impressed with his endurance.

Wow, that's hardcore! Good for you and him for accomplishing that.

haha, thanks. i love getting out into the wilderness. he kept our "pack" together on the trail very well, and alerted us of campsite visitors.
