I have been feeding my boy raw for 2 days straight now and he is already showing some good results. He has always had very runny eyes. So much that I have to clean them 2 to 3 times a day. He was getting sores on the outside and inside of his eyes from them draining so much. Well I can say his eyes are dry as ever and they are healing already. So I am a believer so far. Now I have one last hurdle I hope feeding raw fixes and thats a constant solid stool. So far so good. I am thinking of purchasing a feeding schedule from Raw Dog Ranch web site. Just to ensure I am giving all the proper nutrients. Just wondering if anyone has delt with this site?

I think another member SitUbuSit had posted an excel chart, you might want to do a search.

I have heard very good things about this place Hare Today Gone Tomorrow. Never used it, but mean to someday. My GSD would love it, the new Mal won't eat raw chicken tenderlions...yet.

Rawdogranch is an excellent information source, but she doesn't sell food.
I'd go with My Pet Carnivore | Raw dog, cat, and pet food including: tripe, beef, bones, chicken, duck, rabbit, turkey not cheap but the tripe is worth the cost. And small meat processers are cheaper than grocery store. You may have to buy in bulk so a freezer is a necessity. As far as the eyes go, not sure what you were feeding, but two days of raw feeding shouldn't be showing such results. You may see detox type symptoms soon(blowing coat when it is not seasonal) and nail growth may increase. I would start with supplements now(human grade salmon oil, vitamin C daily and an E every few days) if you havent already and be sure to do some probiotic/digestive enzymes if you aren't giving green tripe. How about some before and after(over several weeks) shots? Last edited by onyx'girl; 01-01-2012 at 08:46 PM. |
