Default Are your dogs totally wiped from the holidays?

I don't know if it was the holidays, the change in routine, or him growing again (he's 15 months), but man...Baxter is wiped from this weekend.

My sister was in town with her daughters, and he adored my two year old niece. He was leashed the whole time, due to his new training regimen, as well as avoiding him accidentally trampling the 7 month old. However, he turned out to be extremely gentle with them and wanted nothing more than to cover them in kisses.

They left yesterday afternoon, and Baxter just crashed when we got home. We were watching TV for a few hours to unwind, and he slept pretty much the entire time, even having puppy dreams with those goofy barks/growls/yips. When we headed to bed, he practically shoved me out of the way to get into his crate. He's still wiped today and has spent almost all of it snoozing, so far.

I'm keeping an eye on him in case he's not feeling well, but I think he's just exhausted from the chaos. How did your dogs fare? Are they as worn out as the Baxter boy?

Christmas Eve night my poor girl practically had to be carried off to bed. She slept on the bed with us all night and hardly moved from being wiped out.

The day started early with getting the house set up for entertaining and everyone left about 12:30am.

The poor girl had no time to nap on Christmas Eve with all the comings and goings. My husband roasted a pig in the yard and we went outside quite a few times to watch that and Stella had the treat of real pig ears for Christmas! It was also pretty hot down here so that makes everyone more tired when outside.

Bianca is not at all... In fact she's the opposite. I was away for about 10 days and got back Christmas eve so she's been really active and playful I guess because I'm back, or maybe because she hadn't had a long walk in a while since the petsitter only did 20-30 minute walks.
The only "excitement" Bianca had besides me coming home was that my sister, her husband and her husband's guide dog came over on Xmas eve but they come over pretty regularly so that wasn't a big deal to her. I went to relatives on Xmas day so we didn't have a lot of people over although Bianca loves it when we do.

Haha yep! Rio spent Christmas eve/day playing with my OH's fathers spanial. He didn't give her any peace at all, not even while she was napping (he was lying next to her whining and licking her ears). Mix that with all the turkey she ate and we've got one sleepy pooch.

Dax is exhausted. By the end of Christmas Day he had retreated to his crate to get some sleep and after an hour long hike yesterday he did the same thing!

This morning when I got up at 7 I had to beg him to get up off of his bed and have breakfast...

More like the opposite. Chrono had to go into his crate or the backyard whenever people came over so he wouldn't knock over their precious little children with his tail .
