Sounds as though she gobbled it down too fast so she could get back to the front door or near you. You might try feeding her in a flat plate or on a cookie sheet so it takes longer to eat and feed her when you're going to be around for a while.

yeah she did it to get even. now you have to be carefull.
once they barf in front of the door (particularly the front door) they'll poop on your pillow. the females will wait for you to shower then they'll lay one right on the floor where you step out of the shower because they know you won't see it untill it's to late. you hear about so many GSD's getting even. no she absolutely did not do it to get even. doesn't mean anything that her nose is wet or cool. please keep a close eye on her to make sure she didn't get into something she shouldn't have, or that something else is physiologically wrong. what does that mean, you bring her in every day to eat, does she live outside?
oh, and please ignore dd's sarcasm, it's just not helpful. such a warped sense of humor (but such a great lookin' dog).

I also agree to ignore the sarcastic remarks. Maybe 'some' should read some past postings about Saleen and realise the poster is asking an honest question.
I would also say, maybe she ate to fast, maybe not and she just threw up..I also agree to keep an eye on her maybe she has an upset stomache. Sometimes mine will eat fast and go out and throw up which of course makes me somewhat paranoid, but all is good in the end

Both my cat and my dog barf if they eat to fast. My dog eats kibble slowly but if he has something tasty he will just gobble it down- so I have to freeze and put it in a kong or otherwise make it difficult for him to gobble. For the cat, I just feed 2 small meals a day instead of one big one.
I do not think that dogs are vengeful. |

well, dd, my wise old grampa used to tell me to ask myself, when i let words fly outa my mouth, "is it true, is it kind, is it necessary". he didn't say anything about "is it funny". and the line between funny and passive aggressive is a thin one that i pretty consistently see being crossed.
sorry to hijack the thread, but this gets tiresome...when people are just legitimately looking for some help...

I've not had that issue with my gsd, but then again, she lays down at her food bowl, and nibbles at her meal untill it's gone. I too would think she ate too fast. Perhaps feeding her half portion, waiting a little bit then feeding the rest, in order to force a slower eating of her meal...
