They ask to go outside, but you don't get to them right away? Do they wait patiently or have little quirks that they do?
Knuckles rings the bell at a high rate of speed, figuring I can't stand the sound of the bell (which he is right). Saki will ring the bell, then if I don't get up she comes up to me and pushes her nose under my arm and then barks/growls/talks back at me until I get up.

Mine will pace if they really gotta go. That gets on my nerves. But it is a rare occasion that this happens. It is the cat that really bugs me, meowing to go out, and always when I have just gotten comfy or fallen asleep.

To be honest, Luna doesn't really do anything if she needs to go potty. She doesn't let me know when she has to go outside any more to go to the bathroom, I guess I just let her out enough? When she wants to go for a walk though, she'll nose bump my shin, then sprint to where her leash is and nose bump that five or six times. If she wants to go to the backyard and play fetch she stands with her eyes really alert and does this bark whine to get my attention, then runs to the back door.

I swear Dax has some kind of super-bladder because I usually have to force him to go out and tell him to potty (and he goes).
If he does have to go he just starts trotting over the the door and then up to me back and forth. He does the same thing when I grab my tennis shoes and start putting them on- doesn't care if I get the leash or poop bags or anything, just the tennis shoes. |

chobahn used to ring a bell until he started ringing it just to go out to play. now he will stand parallel to the door and bump it with his butt or touch the door knob with his nose. if we don't move fast enough he lets out a bark or will come nibble on our feet if he really has to go. other times he will just sit by the door and wait.

Kya just stands by the door and occasionally will look over her shoulder at you disgusted that you haven't gotten up and let her out yet. If she REALLY has to go she will come up to you and nose your arm and whine.
Phinneas on the other hand will run to the door, run to you and bark, run to the door, run to you and bark. Of course he is a min pin full of it. Then he will go out for 3 seconds and decide he wants back in.
