Default Stryder got in TROUBLE!

Let me say I do not condone this behavior...but my husband made two burritos for dinner and sat the plate with burritos on the coffee table to "cool off". He was busy playing his video game and he said he heard Stryder behind him...but did not pay attention. He turned around to get his burritos and Stryder was lying next to the coffee table and the burritos were gone. Stryder was licking his lips........Stryder had a good talking to and apologized and he said he will never do that again

My Siberian Husky would do that and worse. Several times if you had a sandwich in you hand and was holding within reach, and not 100% aware of him, he would quickly cruise by ( mean quickly) and snatch it and wolf it down before you could even say no.

This same Siberian Husky once stole a Christmas ham, the whole ham...as would snatch a bite of here and there as we chased him using piece of furniture to block us. We finally gave in and he had a great Christmas feast. To boot it was hit mother-in-laws ham at her house. We only got to have turkey.

He was a counter surfer extraordinare, he could lift an entire plate of food off the counter, and set it on the floor and never make a sound.

I was never ever able to break him of these habits. I guess I could of tried more extreme measures, but I will not hit my dogs, and really as bad as these habits were, it was just him.

Haha!!! If I had posted that; it would have read:

GAR GOT IN TROUBLE AGAIN!!!!!

In fact just last week, Gar comes into work and I always ask if there is dinner. If there isn't I just stop on the way home. He said, "yes, I made a beefy, bacon, cheesy cassarole"
So, I got all excited; was starving, it was cold when I got home and noticed that my idiot human left it covered with foil on the stove. Um....Gar, the dog is on drugs that make her hungry and you left cheesybeefybacon out?????? I swear! I've seen English Bulldogs with more common sense than that man!
Alice left about a serving spoon's worth.
Which, I did not feel like eating after her rear-end licking mouth had touched. Oh, and he also left all the dishes from making it so if I wanted to quickly throw something together at 9:30 PM...I had to clean up first. I had frosted flakes for dinner. Not a happy girl.
Alice did not get in trouble; but Gar definitely did the next morning when he got home.
*Pow right to the moon Gar*

Daisy would be so proud of your dogs following in her pawtracks, My favorite daisy the dog theif episode was when she stole a steak off the grill while her dog sitter went into get a plate. She can still nab things she is just not as nimble and fast as she once was. I shudder to think what she and mtrai's sib could teach.

Our Dachshunds have been known to snatch food right out of your hand. I'm glad they are not taller!!
