Default Opinions on a digestive enzyme

We have been thinking of feeding jasmine an all natural gluten free digestive enzyme with her feedings lately.
But I wanted opinions on if the ingredients are good for her. My MIL works at an all natural food store and or us this supplement and told me that this human one had (she felt) better ingredients than the pet one.
The enzyme is called digestive health raw whole food based formula prebiotics, enzymes, and probiotics made by emerald laboratories.
Ingredients:
Proprietary digestive enzyme blend: protease 250 dpp-iv protease 3000 iu hut, lipase 1000 fip, lactase 500 Alu, invertase 1000 sumner, hemicellulase 2000 hcu, cellulase 900 cu, alpha-galactoside 75 galu, amylase 4500 skb, amylase 900 bau, beta-glucanase 20 bgu, xylanase 900 xu, bromelain 225 gdu, papain 5100 tu, acid-stable protease 30 sapu, maltase, 150 op

Proprietary digestive herbal blend: gentian root powder, Ginger root powder, fennel seed power

Raw whole food blend : whole food tocotriene complex, raw whole food sprout powders, ( alfalfa quinoa, mung bean, Miley and broccoli, sulfurophane) raw plant enzyme blend (lipase, lactase, invertase, protease, hemicellularase, cellulase, alpha-galactosidase, amylase, bromelain, papain, acid-stable protease, maltease) raw probiotics blend (acocophilus, bifidum,) whole food pomegranate juice powder, raw whole food freeze dried acai powder, whole food goji fruit extract, whole food mangosteen hull powder, whole food noni fruit powder, fructo- oligosaccarides, whole food chlorella powder, whole food spiraling powder, resveratol

If anyone knows anything bad from this please let me know. She said it was safe but I'd like to be sure before I feed it to her. Anything helps.

My understanding is that broccoli is a big no-no for dogs. Someone please confirm or correct me on that.

My question is why do you think your dog needs a digestive enzyme? If he/she is having digestive issues I'd look at more basic solutions than adding an enzyme.

Humans usually take them when they are having some GI issue they can't figure out, and they may or may not help. Healthy digestive systems do not need extra enzymes added.

well, she's been throwing up/dry heaving on random occasions for the past fw months. weve taken her to the vet and he couldnt find anything wrong with her. we feed TOTW. she gets her dry food mostiened. she eats in her kennel and has no exercise an hour to 2 hours before and atleast 2 hours after eating. she will dry heave and try to puke 3 hours after eating, right after eating, at 4 am, or in the middle of the day. water is rationed during feedings and before after etc. at first it started with after she would consume the purina bones. then after she ate these t bone treats. so i switch all of her treats to more natural things. bully sticks, vegetable chews, rawhide bones, knuckle bones, greek plain yogurt, all natural meat treats. then it escilated to just random throwing up. most of the tie sh just dry heaves but sometimes she will puke up her whole meal 3-4 hours after eating. or at 4 am. switching her treats has helped but she is still having these fits. my MIL suggested to try a digestive enzyme and i was trying to see if it would help. she woulds at an all natural food store. but i just wanted to make sure nothing bad was in it. since my vet couldnt put a finger on what s causing it i figured i would try this as long as it wasnt going to harm her.

I start acidophilus as soon as Buddy is on any antibiotics because they always mess up the flora in his gut (especially if he gets an infected lick granuloma that takes weeks of Keflex to get rid of). But otherwise I don't use them on a regular basis. And I don't buy any special dog mix. I use regular old acidophilus for humans that you buy at the pharmacy and have to refrigerate after opening.

I can't comment on the product you're asking about, but I started Rumi on PBs & DEs in Sept for different reasons than yours, and have seen a TREMENDOUS improvement. I currently have her on the Animal Essentials combo product. But the holistic vet I recently took her to advised switching to human products b/c of better quality control.

I've always fed my dogs brocolli & never had a problem. Not in huge amounts though. I didn't know it was a no-no.
