Default Does your GSD march like a soldier?

Do any of your dogs walk like a soldier? Thats the only way I can describe it. When Knuckles walks, when he's really happy & sassy, lifting each front leg straight out in front of him. He looks like he's marching! LOL I've tried to get a video of it, but I haven't caught him yet or he stops and sits because he knows I have the camera. LOL

Yes. When we're on walks, I like to find a small branch, and give it to her to carry. She walks so proud. Head high, legs in a trot.

She also does that trot, when she grabs something in the house (like a sneaker or shoe), and thinks she got away with it.
I'll notice from the corner of my eye, her little prance with the sneaker in her mouth.

I love the prance that Joey does when he finds a branch.

Banjo prances when he's got a toy, tail up, ears up and lots of bounce. When he's following me on my motorcycle he uses a very wolfish trot that wastes no energy. Tail low, head flat and ears forward, it looks like he could go hours with that gait. His sneaky movement is as fast as he can go without breaking into a trot, when I hear that foot pattern on the floor I know he's doing something naughty. He probably wonders how I can tell that, as I'll call his name from another room when I hear the sneak pattern.

Yup, lots of prancing going around in our house. God forbid we dont pay attention when he found a stick and starts carrying it around, he'll prance around and make a huge deal over it
