I love having two dogs....have a male 6 year old and female 8 year old right now and it works great...they play some and seem to really like each other. I think it really depends on the personalities of the dogs. I had two males before that I got as puppies. They were only two weeks apart in age and it was rough for a while. They never really played together and one was very dominant and jealous of the other's time with me. Like the male/female combination better.

Yeah I actually roomed with the girl who adopted Titan's brother, Brutus, when they were puppies. She moved about a month after we got them. It was so difficult with 2 brand new babies. Not to mention she left me with both more than once. I think the fact that Titan is 2 years and trained and my new girl will be 3 months when I get her, it will work out great! The male/female thing seems to be the best solution for me as a GSD is same gender aggressive as is the Boerboel, besides I wanted a girl next, so it worked out

I personally would only go with one due to you wanting the pup to focus on you rather than to focus on its litter mate, Plus they may get along now but when they get a bit older you may find that they fight with each other for dominance. I have had clients want to purchase 2 pups and I have always steered them away from that idea

OP isn't wanting to buy two puppies. Their dog is two years old and they're wanting to add a puppy.
