We give a multivitamin as well as Glycoflex 3 to Niko (Rosa gets even more supplements since she has HD already) even though he has great hips and elbows. It can't hurt. We have always fed it with meals, and have never had any side effects.

Hi i've always figured a pup produces natural joint support on their own. If a supplement is givin, it greatly reduces their own ability to produce it naturally and conflicts with the atomic chemical makeup, which they produce themselves as compared with synthetic. Tricking development all the way down to the DNA level.
only my opinion

However, i've always givin my older dogs joint supplements starting around age 4. of the sulfate variety, of course.

The vit E and fish oil are great. There is a difference, imo.

Do you guys give human supplements or specifically for dogs?
Could you give a dog a human multivitamin?
I have some of these Costco - Vitafusion® MultiVites? around the house, would these be ok to give to a dog?

The multivitamin I give is specific for a dog. I would hesitate to give a multivitamin designed for humans to a dog because it may have more than (or less than) the recommended daily amount. Others may know more on the subject, but this is my gut instinct on the matter.

It tells you on the side of the jug how much/weight. I also add a double dose of salmon oil (grizzley salmon oil) and Solid Gold SeaMeal. Then I add whatever we are feeding that night(kibble or raw), then any fresh foods we are going to include as well.

The Nupro is about $90/5lbs, and lasts my 5(4 large, 1 small) dogs about 3 months. The grizzley salmon oil lasts about 2 months and the Sea Meal goes for $130 for 5lbs and last about 6 months.
I got Nupro at $50 for 5 pounds. Started her on it at 2 years (5 months now). I mix it with cottage cheese in her kibble. I give much smaller than recommended amounts. She also gets a sprinkle of Prozyme and a fish capsule. When I forget the Prozyme her stools get softer.
