Default Texas is burnin down!

Whew! I can hardly breath as I'm typing this. There is so much smoke lingering in the air. Visibility is down to about 1/2 mile already and we've just had a few more new fires kick off just since I've been at work. Man, if we don't get some moisture soon, Texas is gonna burn down!

Yeah it's bad over where you guys are. We've been having RED sunsets from it. My dad is over there volunteering with the TBM disaster relief team.

I couldn't even see the sunset tonight. The haze is so thick, you can actually see it floating in the air like fog. It's ridiculous. Tell your dad thanks for the assist and to be careful.

Take care of yourselves...

A couple of years ago I had to drive my mom up to Humbolt County and there were so many fires in Mendocino, Humbolt and Trinity it was the same thing. No visibility...breathing was tough.
I remember being scared for my mom as you could taste the smoke through the car's A/C.
The town of Ukiah literally became one big fire station...and the irony was they were selling fireworks on down the street from the command center.

*cue Deliverance Music on that one.
