Default NuVet vit & min

Just wondering if anyone uses NuVet vitamins and minerals for their dogs? If so, what do you think of them? They are expensive and I am wondering if they are worth it (we just got some). Thanks!

I know breeders push their buyers to buy these vitamins for whatever reason... not too sure why other than possible kick backs.

If you feed a quality food and there are no issues, I don't think there's any reason to supplement a multivitamin.

Is there a reason why you're looking to supplement these vits?

My breeder wanted me to continue to use them for my puppy. I did until the samples she gave me were gone. I figured if my dog needed something "extra" I would probably buy them...but right now Uschi has a healthy coat, lots of energy and she just looks good overall.

I'm one of those people who "tries" different products, and then...I come to my own conclusion about the product.
I did use them for a few months (several years ago).....why???...I don't know?...perhaps I looked at the dog's diet like a humans (we take vitamins right?!)...so should they....
NOTHING was different....no better coats, no better anything.....*there was nothing wrong to begin with* LOL!
I know a breeder that pushes the vitamin onto her puppy buyers (they must use her ref #code)...that's because she makes a profit off every bottle that is sold using her #code....FYI
If you feed a balanced diet and have a pretty healthy GSD...no need I believe.

Don't use them. IMO a healthy dog just needs good quality food properly balanced for a dog and some variety. In the winter I squirt some salmon oil on my dogs' food b/c it is so dry here but other than that, no vitamins, minerals, or supplements and all the dogs are healthy with clean, glossy coats.

i've used nuvet wafers for miss serablue her whole life (9 years this july). why? because she loves them and looks forward to them...she knows the sound of the container when it comes out of the fridge). yes, i originally got them from her breeder, who is wonderful and has helped me immeasurably in my rescue efforts, and so i don't mind the fact that they autoship and a cut of the cost goes back to the breeder. it's my little way of perpetually saying thank you for my dear, dear girl. sera is the only one who gets them and i don't notice anything different about her from the other three, but since she loves them and she's the queen, and since we all love "grandma pat" (the breeder), the queen continues to get her little "treat".

actually she's nosin' my hand as i type this, tellin' me mom, we're runnin' a bit late on breakfast today, lolol...

i do agree tho that a really high quality food can be enough.

I'm not sure what the price is for them, but those sound like some pretty expensive treats.

I have used them almost 8 mon. now. I get the 120 tablet for $50. My trainer and vet had suggest I put them on it for the MSM. No one seems to be in pain or moody anymore.
Though Macy gets nasty gas from it.
I am very happy with the results.
