Does it need to be a B name? I like Shade, which goes a little with the weather-y names, and if you're dorky, you could call her The Shady Lady (my mom has a dog named Sadie that she calls that).
I also like Surma. Surma is a character similar to Cerberus in Finnish mythology. Surma is a terrible beast, embodies sudden, violent death and guards the gates of the Underworld. Surma is often described as being a large dog with a snake-tail and can turn you into stone with a stare. I love mythological names. ![]() We picked Godric because I loved it, but my second choice was Argus. Argus is known as a "watchful guardian." I'm too lazy to google the actual thingy, but he was a beast sent to guard and protect someone, and he had 100 eyes, some of which stayed open, even when he slept. What's funny is that we just discovered that Godric sleeps with his eyes open! All the time! It's sooooo weird. Dan said that if it weren't already too late, we'd be changing his name, haha. If we had discovered that before, how could we have NOT have named him Argus? You could name her Zuul! It would be awesome if your name was Dana, then you could always say, "There is no Dana, only Zuul." Ahh, I love Ghostbusters. We seriously considered that name for Godric too, haha. We're dorks.

I like the name NENETTE which has an interesting GSD history.
CPL Lee Duncan found a litter of GSD puppies in a bombed out kennel in France during WWI. He took a male and female while other soliders took the dam and the remainder of the litter back to their camp. Duncan named the male Rin Tin Tin and the female Nenette. After the war he took both pups back to the US. Unfortunately Nenette died from distemper shortly after arriving in NY while her brother went on to become one of the most famous GSDs in the world. I have a black cat named Goblin, and my brother-in-law had a black cat named Voodoo.
