Why do they want you to take them now? What's going on?

I would not take them unless I could dedicate 24 hours of my day to take care of them. Can you do that?

12 dead pups? Has the breeder done anything to find out WHY this is happening? It is certainly not normal.

3 weeks is much too young to go to a new home. They aren't even weaned yet. However depending on what is happening that is killing the pups, it may be the only chance these pups have for survival. At the same time, why isn't the breeder taking the responsibility of taking care of these pups?

To be honest after seeing your gallery pics, I wondered if the "breeder" had any experience.
They had the pups in a crate w/ the mom, and not a whelping box.
I am sorry for the loss of these puppies...I hope they decide not to breed again.

i'm betting smothering was the culprit!

They are in home heath care and can not care for the pups them selfs. I also told them the crate was a bad idea and even a childs pastic pool would be better. This is also the dogs first litter. I know bybs can be bad. But my moms their friend and wanted to give us a pup. I have so experaince with orphans when I was 19 I wrorked at a animal shelter and asisited with raising new borns. Also the woman who was the main car taker of all the orphan animals lives less than 2 miles from me. I can always have her help. She's a wonderful person and know she has tons of knowlage she could show me. I don't want the girls to die.

If you feel that you can take them on and give them the care that they need then I will support your decision to keep them. So if you are up for the challenge than I say........ SAVE THEM

Christen, is there any way you can take the mom and two pups to care for them? Does she still have milk?
That would be the best thing for all, as she needs attention as far as her milk drying up as they wean in a week or two, so she doesn't get an infection. The pups will also have the benefit of their mom teaching them lessons that humans can't.
Get a pool for the pups and have the woman near you help you. The mothers health is at risk, too as far as I am concerned.
