ok I've changed my mind

) I'm with Jane, is there anyway you can take the MOM and the 2 remaining puppies? You are probably better equiped to take care of the mom and puppies vs the people who have them

Since this rather a rescue situation, IF you did this, and returned the mom, I'd have her spayed so this doesn't happen again.

Let us know how it goes..poor babies

Ill let you know I pretty much decided to take both pups ill go buy forumula and bottles. Will human size work since thay are 3 weeks. Ill pick them up tomarrow weathers to bad to go now. I doubt they will let me take mom too but ill ask and tell them about her milk. Ill keep every one updated. I've decided to call the black and silver Bella and I'm thinking of one for the soild black girl they should have names. Hopefully both will still be alive tomarrow. I fell so bad and yet hopefull at the same time.

Sad situation, if you can take mom and pups, that would be good. We cannot be sure it was suffication. It could be canine herpies or mastitis. If it is mastitis, than the dam will not be able to nurse the pups, and at three weeks of age, they should be fed Very frequently, every three to four hours probably, maybe more, never had to manage this yet.

It is a lot of work, and I doubt the pups are completely out of the woods yet. But if you could try, than I would bet they have a better chance with you and their litter mate and dam than if this yayhoo drops them off at a shelter. It sounds like he is itching for them to be gone.

However, do not feel compelled to take these pups if you do not feel you have the time or ability to do so. Do not feel compelled to take them if you really do not want to do so. This is your decision and no one should judge that either way. Not all of us can take on a couple of orphaned puppies, and it is possible that is what you will be doing.

I wish you a lot of luck that is a lot to take on if hand rearing, keep us informed with how they and you get on.

go to your local petsmart/petstore, I think even walmart, carries puppy/kitten bottles, and they also carry the liquid to feed. If you can't get mom, (or even if you can) I would take the two puppies to your vet monday to have them checked out. I'm sure they have alot of advice to offer to you as well..

IF you're doing this wiothout MamaBitch please get advice as to the extra work that's needed. I did this with a kitten once that was no more than a day or 2 old & I didn't realize the kit needed additional training/assistance. She was a sweetie, but very rough with claws & teeth b/c she'd never been taught differently. Your pups at least will have a littermate, but will probably still benefit from additional guidance.

I agree: I've raised numerous litters and singles who were orphaned (I've worked in animal hospitals for 30 years), but it's always better if Mom can be part of the solution, too. Three pups at 3 weeks is still a 24 hour a day job for either true Mom or surrogate Mom. Plus, Mom sounds like she could use some help and it doesn't sound like she is going to get much from the breeders.

Beleve it or not the onwner of the **** LOVES her and the daddy very much. And they feel bad about all the pups and only want me to take them because they want the last 2 to live and I'm at least w1illing to TRY to nurse them. I have suscessfuyl raisd 4 week old kittens a bro and sis at diff times form same momma there crazy as H*** but alive and healty. So I'm hopeing that two 3 week old pups won't be harder than that jus double work. But I'm not as Experanced as I would like to be. And know that thers have advise to offer and I know I need it. And thanks so much of all the support and info. I HOPE so much that if I can't save both that I can at least save one. If I can't save eather ill get on pet finder and find on close to me that I know I can save. This is to emmotinal.

Good Luck Christen! I know you'll find alot of valuable advice from the breeders and rescuers on this forum. CAll your vet also. They can give you alot of advice on what to do and you should have someone close by in the loop so they know what is going on should you have an emergency.

Do you know why the other pups died? That might help determine how to care for the remaining two pups.

And please tell them to cut Mama's nails! They are curling in on themselves!
