Coyote, looks like one of our local guys.

The coloring is hard to see against the white snow, but when no snow, she is very light like a yellow Lab in color not your gray. She came in the yard with a male last week & he was much darker & gray looking compared to her. Guessing female as he stopped in the yard to pee on Storm's tree as she didn't, but just followed along with him.

What's freaky is when you hear one howl, then many cries as they gather, & then it's done. All I can figure is this is done for a trip to go hunt, not sure ?

Also find it wierd that we only hear this when it's real cold out & very early Spring. I never hear them do this in the Summer. I hear the fox cries then.

I also heard something real funky & scary this Summer a couple of times & I just don't know what it was. My guess was a distressed or dying deer.

she's a cutie. you are lucky to have such wildlife around! The strangest I've had in the neighborhood was an escaped emu.

We are in SE OH, about 55 miles east of Columbus. I have heard of New Carlise, but refresh where abouts again ?
