I agree with everyone else, if it's suddenly gotten much cooler, don't leave him outside for extended periods, no matter how much he enjoys it. He's still a baby and where you live, he probably doesn't have much undercoat at all due to the weather and his age.

I lived in Phoenix a long time ago, it gets cool at night and in the morning. Next winter, he'll be fine with it.
