Jogging and loose leash walking

I want to start light jogging with my dog.
However, I am worried that it will affect the loose leash work I have done with him.
Will jogging hinder loose leash walking in the future?

Not something I do ... but as I see it ... it should not be a problem??? The dog is still "expected" to match your pace. Give it time most likely active "Joggers" will chime in.

I don't have this issue as I live in the high desert ... so I just drive a mile or so park and open the car door ... and say "OK." Knock yourselves out guys ... Bunny Rabbits aplenty waited to be chased! They never actually catch one ... for the record.

Jogging shouldn't affect that. Think of it as the "next level". If he already knows to match your pace, then he should be fine. Otherwise you'll just have to train him to maintain a loose leash while Jogging.
Jogging with my dog Maia helped her walk on loose leash, if only because it taught her to pay attention to my pace. She's very good at picking up when I'm going to jog or walk or go on a full out sprint! Jogging with your dog is a lot of fun, whatever extra training you might have to do for it is definitely worth it.
Just make sure you don't over do it with your dog. Start with intervals, just like when you first started jogging, to help him build the muscle and strength for jogging long distance. If he gets tired, don't push him! Give him his needed rest for the day.
